How did "Cooking With Reed" get started you ask? It was simple..

My granny played a big roll in my life. To never missed talent shows, to never missed baseball games, I remember her always being there for something. It didn't matter what it was, she was there. 

She passed away January 17th, 2023 and life wasn't ever the same. She always left me with one piece of advice which was, "do something you love and be really good at it. If you love it, it's not a job, it's your joy". 

I purchased my first 22" Adventure Ready Blackstone in the fall of 2024 and I never looked back. I cooked on it and I realized that it wasn't big enough, for me. I've always been a go big or go home kind of person, so then I purchased my first 36" Blackstone griddle and started cooking EVERYTHING. Through a few friends, I then started posting Blackstone content, which led you to here. So I'm glad you're here reading this and I'm happy to have you here. 

I love BBQ-ing/griddling for my friends and I've always found joy in taking care of people just like my grandmother. My friends tell me they love my food, but you can't taste it..you're just here to see the recipes so you can make them for yourself at home!

One last thing before you leave..if you're anything like my granny, live your life the way you want to and do whatever brings you joy. My Blackstone has brought me so much joy, and whatever brings you joy..you should do it too. Thank you for stopping in and seeing what my granny wanted to see. :)
